We can help you get there

We understand there may be times when you need a ride to your doctor’s office, to pick up a prescription or for other covered medical services. Blue Cross Complete of Michigan can help you get there.

If you don’t have an emergency*, you can use our free ride service for:

  • Ongoing or regular doctor visits
  • Sick visits and other medical care needs
  • Preventive services, such as physicals or mammograms
  • Pharmacies to pick up your prescriptions
  • Durable medical equipment suppliers to pick up your medical supplies
  • Dental care visits (for Healthy Michigan Plan members only)
  • Outpatient mental health services

*If you have an emergency, you should call 911.

To get transportation to and from:

  • Schedule a ride online by visiting LogistiCare**. You'll need to register for the site by creating a username and password. You'll also need to verify your Blue Cross Complete membership. Once your reservation is made, please save both your reservation number and your confirmation number. You should receive a confirmation number within 24 hours of submitting your reservation. When you schedule a ride online, make your reservation at least two business days in advance. Same-day scheduling isn’t available.   • Schedule a ride by phone. Call 1-888-803-4947, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. TTY users should call 711. You can make reservations in advance, or schedule same-day and urgent transportation by phone.

Urgent rides:

Patients who are pregnant or need an urgent appointment can call to get same-day transportation. You can also call on weekends to set up a Monday ride. Typical reasons for urgent, same-day visits include:

  • Sick visits
  • Follow-up appointments scheduled within 24 hours of a hospital discharge
  • Any transportation request from the health plan

Whether you make reservations online or by phone, you can schedule transportation for all your upcoming appointments at once. You don’t have to schedule them one at a time.

Tips:

  • If you need to cancel a ride, call four hours ahead of your appointment.
  • These rides are for medical services only. If you schedule a ride that isn’t for medical services, your plan won’t cover the cost.
  • If you need a return trip and you didn’t schedule it ahead of time, call for a “will call” ride at
    1-888-803-4947. You may have to wait up to one hour after you call.
